Staff Members who have now sadly left us

Like the District Nurses, our Midwifes,  and Health Visitor are employed by the Primary Care Trust- the MacMillan Nurse by the Hospice – Mental Health Worker by the local integrated Mental Health Trust. We work closely alongside them as an integrated team.

<<<Sister Janet Raw RGN, Dip. N, ENB 124 & 998  was our Practice Nurse till 2004, when she went to work as a Heart Failure nurse in Scarborough
Mrs Linda Elwick >>> still kindly helps as our Health Care Assistant  with Nursing Tasks such as venepuncture  & dressings. She is involved with Healthy Living Advice and weight loss.

<<< Mrs Michelle Chamberlain  is our Health Care Assistant who helps with Nursing Tasks such as venepuncture  & dressings.

She briefly joined us in 2004

 

 

 

 

Mrs Pat Wood>>> has worked at the surgery longer than anyone except Dr Garnett. She left in January 2005
<<< Mrs. Paula Miller B Phty ffom Queensland worked with us froom her rooms in Belle Vue Street before leaving us in 2005
Dr Phil Jones MB ChB>>>  joined us from August 2004. He also works as a senior member of the A&E department in Scarborough, and before that worked as a GP in London, as well as more colourful jobs in places such as Afghanistan

<<<<Dr Ricardo Garcia MB,ChB qualified in Madrid in 1997. He came to Scarborough to train in Family Medicine. He joined the Surgery in 2002, and left in April 2006 to join Glaxo in Madrid

<<< Dr Jenni Lawrence MB ChB MRCGP (Merit), DCH DRCOG graduated in 1997  from Sheffield. She worked in Scarborough and Australia. She joined us in February 06. Her hobbies include cookery, friends & family and photographing them, as well as her cat, Pudding. She is married to Dr James Crick, whom some will remember working here a few years ago.  

 

Ms. Lorna McKinley, RMN>>>  

Provides mental health assessment, short term intervention for those experiencing mild to moderate problems and/or signposting to appropriate agencies. Role includes liaison between Primary Care, specialist services and many community agencies. Also helps monitor the wellbeing of those with enduring mental health needs who are not in contact with specialist services.

 Dr Taimur Khan MB, BS >>>

 

Qualified in 2000 from Nistar Medical College in Multan. After qualification he did some time in voluntary charitable work in Northern Pakistan. He worked in the Isle of Man in Accident & Emergency for 4 years, and also in Surgery and Orthopaedics.

He's got a young lad. His wife is also training to be a GP in Scarborough.

<<<Dietitian Mrs Paula Edmondson comes to Filey on Wednesday afternoons to offer information,  support and advice in matters relating to what we're all made entirely of, i.e. what we eat

Mrs Mary Norris TD>>> was our Assistant practice manager, leaving in June 2009 after twenty years with us.. She is a teacher by training.
