Meet Our Team

 

Our "Outside" Nursing (&Other) Team

Like the District Nurses, our Midwifes,  and Health Visitor are employed by the Primary Care Trust- the MacMillan Nurse by the Hospice – Mental Health Worker by the local integrated Mental Health Trust. We work closely alongside them as an integrated team.  


Midwife

There are a team of Midwifes who work alongside each other to produce seam free ante- natal & Post Natal Care, when one of them is off.  

<<<Sister Jo Watkinson SRN SCM  is Filey's Midwife.

Jo is an registered general nurse, neonatal nurse and a registered midwife.

At home, she is the mother of two girls, a   singer in operatic society, plays the piano.

Jo is very passionate about being a midwife


Health Visitor  

Ms Jill Brooks RN SCM>>> who was our Midwife in the 1990s, returned in 2004 to oversee the care of the well under 5s, as well as helping keeping the elderly going in their home.

 

 

She works closely with  Hunmanby's Health Visitor

 


MacMillan Nurse >>> Mrs Rachel Harley. Mrs Harley was a District Nursing Sister in Driffield, and before that, ran Roundstones Rest Home in Filey.

Her role is to support the District Nurses who look after people who are referred to the St Catherine's Hospice Team.

 


 

Primary Care Mental Health Worker

 Ms. Lorna McKinley, RMN>>>

Provides mental health assessment, short term intervention for those experiencing mild to moderate problems and/or signposting to appropriate agencies. Role includes liaison between Primary Care, specialist services and many community agencies. Also helps monitor the wellbeing of those with enduring mental health needs who are not in contact with specialist services.

Dietitian

Mrs Paula Edmondson>>> comes to Filey on Wednesday afternoons to offer information,  support and advice in matters relating to what we're all made entirely of, i.e. what we eat
